BISMI APPLIANCES - No 1 FRAUDS

This is to note down and share my worst night mare of purchasing a LED TV from Bismi Appliances situated near International stadium at Kaloor in Ernakulam(Kochin-682017).

On 21-Feb-2016 Sunday me along with my father went to their above mentioned showroom in search for 43'' LG LF6300 model smart LED TV. When we reached there, there was only one 43LF6300 available with them in the showroom which was being displayed in their LG TVs section. When we insisted for a fresh piece of the same, the showroom representative assured us that they have stock of 43LF6300 readily available in their Ernakulam godown itself which according to him shall be delivered the very next day ie Monday 22-Feb-2016 at our house.  On getting his strong promise that fresh TV will be delivered very next day, we payed an advance of 10,000 Rs for which we got a duplicate bill receipt on terms that once the TV is delivered, they will give the original bill and we shall remit the rest of the amount. Adding below the duplicate receipt that we got from Bismi on 21-Feb-2016.

On 22-Feb -2016, by evening 5PM, their supply vehicle reached our door and I was delivered the TV case by their sales man. To confirm, i asked if if that is a fresh stock and he assured me that it is a fresh piece. On his assurance, I handed over the rest of the money and took the package of the TV inside home by then the sales man and the vehicle had left. Adding below the original receipt that we got from Bismi on 22-Feb-2016 handed over by the supply sales man who came to my house.

I sat down and opened the box, looked quite okay with the tapes but did not find any LG seals, but to my innocence I kept on  assembling the TV stand and mounted the TV to the stand. After mounting connected my Airtle DTH to the TV and switched on the TV. There was no welcome screen, the TV directly started showing the Airtel DTh home channel. Just to make my self believe, i went to the TV setting and checked the total usage in hours of the TV. (Usually if it is a fresh TV, the usage will be displayed in fraction of hours, say 0.5 hours). It was really shocking to see that the settings showed a total usage of  83 hours for a TV that Bismi assured multiple times that it is a fresh piece.

We then itself left to Bismi and on reaching their 2nd floor found that the 43'' display piece of LF6300 which we saw yesterday was no longer there. On asking the sales staff, they agreed that they sent the display unit to me pretending it as a fresh stock which really was cheating. I knew the technology, hence I could argue with proof that they had sold me a 83 hours used TV, but what if some one who is not aware of the technology had brought this TV? This is straight forward and bad cheating from Bismi Appliances.

I have added the above bills and TV usage hour screen shots as a proof. Any one who checks can easily verify what kind of fraud and untrusty bussiness Bismi is doing. Also you can check the published date of this blog and confirm that it was published with full details on 22/Feb/2016 itself and I cannot use the TV for 83 hours on the day of purchase itself.

Update as on 22-Feb-2016 the day of purchase:
Bismi floor managers Mr Nicolas and Mr Ajith has agreed me to give a fresh stock of the model by 25-02-2016 Thursday. They are telling that they have stock in their Callicut branch and will arrange the same from there. Let's see what happens.

Update as on 25-Feb-2016:
I got a call from the dealers saying that a fresh stock has arrived. I packed the TV that was available at home, took an Uber cab and reached their store. I wend and met Mr Ajith and he showed me a case of LF6300. He opened it in front of me, and arranged a demo. I checked the usage and I could see ZERO hours used mentioned in the settings. Also this time the TV had the WEB OS welcome screen displayed taking us through the nice graphic set up of the TV. I was glad and thanked them for showing the decency.
